SPECIFIC ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE DEPARTMENT / CENTRE

1. The Department of Linguistics takes pride in sharing that it published the 15th volume of its journal 'Interdisciplinary Journal of Linguistics' in 2022. It is quite an achievemnt, as the 15 volumes have been published without a break.
2. The Department is focused in its endeavour to contribute substantially on the research front. It has been conducting seminars, workshops, conferences and webinars consistently, thereby becoing a hub of academic debates. Since the last NAAC Visit in 2019, the Department has conducted six evnets including webinars, conferences, workshops, and seminars.
3. With its efforst, the Department has been able to get Linguistics introduced as a subject under NEP 2020. 
4. The Department has conducted four Field Tours since the last NAAC visit in 2019.
